We are mothers and neighbors standing up to ICE in defense of the shared family and American values that bind us together. We work with MELT to ensure that ICE and other agencies act lawfully and humanely, and that families are treated with decency and respect.
Who we are:
We are mothers and community members from all walks of life with one thing in common: we are witnessing immigration policies and actions that go against what we believe is right, both as Americans and as mothers.
We’ve watched violent events unfold that violate our values and, all too often, the Constitution itself. We’ve felt helpless as families are torn apart and due process is ignored. We have decided not to sit idly by. Now, we are coming together as a calm, clear, and unified voice to speak out and call for change.

Mission
MELT is a nonpartisan group of mothers and neighbors working to protect families, uphold the Constitution, and call for compassionate, lawful immigration practices.

Speaking up
We write, petition, and lobby our elected officials to show common sense and common courtesy by protecting families, respecting due process, and ending cruel immigration practices.

Fundraising
We raise funds to support legal defense, community aid, and other efforts that help protect families affected by harmful immigration enforcement.

We are a visible and vocal presence of reason, standing together in a time of fear and extremism to remind our communities what decency, empathy, and common sense look like.

A Nonpartisan Stance
The Constitution is the highest law of the United States, and defending it is not a partisan issue. It contains the promise that no one can be searched or seized without a warrant and that every person gets a fair day in court. When ICE conducts raids without warrants and deports people without trials, it breaks that promise. Respecting the Constitution is not a left-wing or right-wing stance; it is simply how America is supposed to work.
Even the very conservative Cato Institute has raised alarms. In a recent analysis, Cato found that sixty-five percent of people taken by ICE had no criminal convictions and ninety-three percent had no violent convictions.
Cato concluded, “ICE’s deportation agenda is not what is being advertised to the American public. ICE is not interested in prioritizing public safety, yet it constantly pretends that anyone who objects to its tactics and priorities is defending violent criminals.” (cato.org)
Most Americans share some basic beliefs. We all want safe borders, and we agree that people who pose real dangers should be arrested, read their rights, and tried in court. What we do not want is a country that looks like a dystopian police state, where agents who have cowardly hidden their faces haul parents away in front of their crying children, where dissenters are thrown into gulags and prison camps. That is not the United States we pledge allegiance to, that is not “the land of the free and the home of the brave.”
Whether you vote red, blue, green, or something else, the issue is bigger than party labels. It is about the fabric of our democracy and the family values we all claim to cherish. Moms for the End of Lawless Tyranny stands for those shared values and invites every reasonable American to do the same.
